Château Siran er et Cru Bourgeois-klassificeret slot beliggende i den sydlige del af Margaux. Her ejer slottet ca. 25 ha på en jordbund af grus og småsten.

Siran har en lidt omtumlet historie bag sig, men siden årtusindeskiftet har kvaliteten på vinene taget et gevaldigt kvantespring i den rigtige retning. Dette især pga. Brigitte Miailhe, der i samråd med den kendte vinkonsulent Michel Rolland har moderniseret faciliteterne og indført en langt grovere sortering af druerne.

Al høst og sortering sker med håndkraft og lagringen sker i ca. 12 måneder på barrique, hvor af ca. en 1/3 er nye.

"Lovely fragrance on the nose, richly scented with dark fruits and subtle exotic spices. Smooth and supple in the mouth, great energy and drive with a fun, juicy core that is light but in focus giving this more of an elegant touch but still with persistence. A really nice take on 2021 with plenty of body and flavour. A gorgeous wine that people are sure to finish! Energetic, clean, pure, lively, juicy and clean. A great show with strawberries, blackcurrants and cherries."

"Cherry stones, currants, tobacco and lemon peel on the nose. Sleek and focused, elegant, with fine-grained tannins, a medium body and a creamy, linear finish. Try from 2024."

88-90 point, The Wine Advocate:

"The 2021 Siran unfurls in the glass with notes of blackberries, cassis, warm spices and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, supple and lively, with a pretty core of fruit and powdery tannins that assert themselves on the saline finish, it’s a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 11% Petit Verdot."
