Beliggende ved Saint Etienne de Lisse, øst for det berømte og velrenommerede Saint-Émilion ligger Château de Pressac. Det var ved netop deres ejendom, at 100-årskrigen blev afsluttet og traktaten underskrevet.

Château de Pressac har siden 1997 været ejet af Dominique og Jean-Franꞔois Quenin, som arbejder hårdt på at hæve vinenes kvalitet. Det hårde arbejde har båret frugt, og i 2012 blev slottet tildelt Grand Cru Classé.

36 af husets 42 hektar er beplantet med vinstokke og sorterne er fordelt på Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère og Pressac (Malbec). Vinene byder på klassisk Saint-Émilion karakter, og husets Château de Pressac bliver lavet på druer fra de ældste vinstokke, hvilket er med til at sikre en kompleks og lagringsværdig vin.

"The 2021 de Pressac is classy, elegant and polished. As Always, the blend of varieties here yields an incredibly distinctive Pressac. Dark red fruit, cedar, tobacco, lavender and spice open with some coaxing. This layered, wonderfully expressive Saint-Émilion is commendable."

93 point, Decanter:

"Smooth and silky, this has a lovely texture from the start - singing fruit of dark blackcurrants, red cherries and raspberries with balanced acidity - not too sharp and licks of wet stone and salt on the finish. This has a good structure without being too much. Easy to enjoy, still with ripe fruit and a hint of underlying power which some of the 2021s lack. Juicy, light, fun, food friendly with appealing liquorice, cola and graphite on the finish. A touch of heat on the finish suggests the 14% but adds to the overall width rather than detracting anything from it. A success."

"Fragrant nose of nutmeg, plums, berries and chocolate orange. It’s creamy and polished with a medium body and medium-firm, chalky tannins. Nicely filled in and continuous with a long and delicious finish. 71% merlot, 16% cabernet franc, 9% cabernet sauvignon , 2% carmenere and 2% malbec. Drink from 2025."

"The 2021 Château de Pressac is a classy wine with character and should be outstanding. Based on 85% Merlot, 5% each of Malbec and Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère, it offers up a classy bouquet of cassis and ripe currants as well as notes of liquid violets and charcoal. Medium-bodied and ripe, with beautiful tannins and classy background oak, it's going to drink nicely right from the gun."
